Triethanolamine is a product of the ethanolamine group, commonly used in the manufacture of detergents and washing powders. It is used as a pH regulator. It is used in the paper and plating industries and as an additive in plastics. Triethanolamine is not classified as hazardous and is therefore used in the manufacture of cosmetics.
