Nefras C2

About Nefras C2

Nefras c2 80/120 is widely used in the rubber industry (production of pipes and belts); for preparation of rubber adhesives, degreasing of electrical equipment, surfaces (before painting and not only), as well as fabrics and leather, washing of bearings, fittings before preservation, production of special fast-drying oil paints, electrical insulating varnishes, dilution of oil, bitumen and ethylene paintwork materials, epoxy resins, removal of small grease and oil stains from all kinds of fabric; in production of printing inks, mastics; it is recommended as fuel for gasoline blowtorches. It is also possible to use this type of gasoline as fuel for catalytic heaters, it also finds application in organic chemistry and is most frequently used in repairs of automatic transmission systems, engines and other aggregate units. It is indispensable in the optical industry.

Nephras, that is, “petroleum distiller”. It is a collective name for liquids that are the products of petroleum distillation. The products of petroleum distillation include petrol, acetone, paraffin, xylene, white spirit and others. A solvent is able to convert different substances into a solution. Nephras is a transparent oily liquid with a specific smell of petroleum products. So, nefras c2 80/120 is the name of the solvent itself – nefras. The letter “c” denotes belonging to a particular group into which petroleum oils are divided, i.e. petroleum oil with the letter “c” refers to solvents of mixed composition, which contains hydrocarbons of all classes.

The number 2 is the number of the subgroup. 80/120 is the boiling point of the product.  That is, 80 is the initial boiling point or max boiling point, and 120 is the final boiling point or max boiling end temperature, as stated in the specifications for the respective solvent. In general, they are not characterised by a fixed boiling point. They boil over a certain temperature range. In other words, petroleum products have a certain boiling point range. Naphras C2 80/120 boils off at temperatures between 80 and 120 degrees Celsius.
