Masterbatch

About Masterbatch

Masterbatch is a special kind of granule (plastic crumb) with a clearly defined dosage of the active chemical ingredient or pigment and, in some cases, certain additives. In fact, it can be described as a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives in a carrier resin. Masterbatch is usually mixed with the polymer material in the feeder, immediately prior to the extrusion process. The advantage of masterbatch is that it facilitates the mixing and dosing of all ingredients and ensures repeatable results.
